ABU DHABI — A massive fire has erupted at the Fujairah oil port, the United Arab Emirates’ largest strategic fuel hub, following a targeted drone attack launched from Iran. Local government officials confirmed that civil defense teams are currently on-site battling the blaze to prevent further spread within the critical storage facilities.
Fujairah serves as a global cornerstone for oil storage and export; notably, this vital infrastructure was previously targeted by drone strikes prior to the last ceasefire. The latest assault marks a significant breach of regional stability, as the UAE Ministry of Defense reported intercepting three additional missiles launched from Iranian territory during the same period.
While the UAE has officially documented the scale of the emergency, the Iranian government has yet to release a statement or provide details regarding the military operation. The incident has placed regional energy markets on high alert as security forces continue to monitor the escalating situation.
