MOGADISHU, Somalia — President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has officially called for a renewed spirit of reconciliation and national unity among Somalia’s leadership. In a recent statement issued from the capital, the President emphasized the importance of settling political differences through constructive dialogue to ensure the country’s stability.
Specifically, the President highlighted the need for closer cooperation with regional leaders, including Puntland’s President Said Abdullahi Deni and Jubaland’s President Ahmed Madobe. “Our nation’s progress depends on our ability to work together towards common goals,” President Mohamud stated. This call for unity comes at a critical time as Somalia continues its efforts in security sector reform and economic development.
