TEHRAN/WASHINGTON — Iran has reportedly submitted a comprehensive 14-point peace proposal to the United States aimed at ending the ongoing regional conflict, according to a report by Axios. The proposed roadmap is structured into two strategic phases.
Phase One: The First Month
The initial phase focuses on immediate de-escalation and maritime stability. Key points include:
Initiating negotiations to reopen the strategic Strait of Hormuz.
The lifting of the U.S. naval blockade currently imposed on Iranian ports.
A complete cessation of hostilities and fighting in both Iran and Lebanon.
Phase Two: Future Negotiations
Once the initial agreement is reached and stabilized, the second phase would begin. This stage involves an additional month of high-level diplomatic talks specifically focused on Iran’s nuclear program.
This proposal comes at a critical time as the international community looks for a diplomatic exit from the escalating tensions in the Middle East.
