-Turkey has confirmed that a planned official visit by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to the United Arab Emirates has
been postponed following reports that UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan is facing a health condition.
According to a statement from the Turkish presidency, the decision to delay the trip was made after a phone conversation between the two leaders.
During the call, Erdogan expressed his concern over the situation affecting Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, commonly known as MBZ, and wished him a swift recovery.
The statement did not provide further details regarding the nature of the UAE leaderโs health issue.
No official timeline has been announced for when the postponed visit will be rescheduled.
The government of the United Arab Emirates has not yet released a public statement addressing the reported health condition.
The postponed visit was expected to further strengthen diplomatic and economic ties between Ankara and Abu Dhabi, as relations between the two countries have significantly improved in recent years following a period of political tension.
Observers say the delay appears to be precautionary and diplomatic in nature,
reflecting the importance of high-level engagement between the two regional powers.
Further updates are expected once official statements are issued by Emirati authorities.
