the deputy head of Russiaโs military intelligence, who was injured in an assault near the Kremlin in Moscow.
A video released by the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) shows agents escorting a blindfolded suspect captured in Dubai,
United Arab Emirates. The detainee is reportedly the mastermind behind the assault on General Alexeyev, one of President Vladimir Putinโs closest aides and a key figure in Russiaโs military intelligence operations.
Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed gratitude to UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for his countryโs role in capturing the suspect,
according to the Russian Foreign Ministry.
The suspect is originally from Ukraine but holds Russian citizenship.
In addition, Russian security forces have identified two other individuals connected to the attack:
Viktor Vasin, who was arrested in Moscow, and Zinaida Serebritskaya, who has reportedly fled to Ukraine.
This development marks a significant step in the investigation into the Kremlin-area attack and highlights ongoing security efforts amid heightened tensions involving Russian military and intelligence services.
