Somalia and Qatar Sign Major Defense Cooperation Agreement

The Federal Republic of Somalia and the State of Qatar Sign Defense Cooperation AgreementThe Federal Republic of Somalia and the State of Qatar today signed a defense cooperation agreement aimed at strengthening military relations and enhancing security cooperation between the two countries.The agreement was signed by the Minister of Defense of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Ahmed Moallim Fiqi, and the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan Al Thani.

The defense cooperation agreement focuses on military training, the exchange of military expertise, the development of defense capabilities, and the strengthening of security cooperation, in order to support efforts to ensure security and stability in the region.

The signing of this agreement once again reinforces the strategic relationship between Somalia and Qatar and reflects the strong commitment of both countries to working together to enhance defense, security, and military cooperation in the future.
