There are growing reports that Esmail Qaani, the head of the Quds Force under Iranโs Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps
(IRGC), may have been detained by Iranian authorities over suspicions of possible links to Israelโs intelligence service.
The claims, which remain unverified, have been circulating across regional media and social platforms.
According to these reports, internal concerns within the IRGC allegedly raised questions about Qaaniโs position,
prompting authorities to take precautionary action. However, no official statement has been released to confirm
these developments. In recent months, Qaani has reportedly survived multiple assassination attempts, adding further tension around his public role.
He was said to have appeared alongside Iranโs Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, shortly before disappearing again from public view.
The sudden absence has fueled additional speculation.Qaani assumed leadership of the Quds Force in January 2020 following
the death of Qasem Soleimani in a U.S. airstrike in Baghdad. Since then, he has overseen the unit responsible for Iranโs external military and strategic operations.
At this stage, the situation remains unclear. Without official confirmation,
the reports should be treated cautiously as developments continue to unfold.
