The United States is increasingly concerned about Iran’s expanding missile capabilities, as tensions in the Middle East continue to rise.
Former CIA officer John Kiriakou warned that a direct strike on a US aircraft carrier could have catastrophic global consequences. He stated that if Iran were to successfully sink a US aircraft carrier, it could potentially spark a wider international conflict.
Kiriakou also claimed that hypersonic missiles present a major strategic challenge, arguing that existing defense systems may struggle to intercept such weapons. He asserted that Iran possesses hypersonic missile technology, adding that this factor has significantly altered the regional security balance.
His remarks come amid escalating military tensions and growing fears of broader confrontation in the region.
