
Missile Strike in Eastern Yemen Kills Alleged Somali Arms TraffickerA missile
strike carried out in the Giida area of eastern Yemen has killed Abdishakur Yahye Ali — also identified as Abdulqadir Yahya Ali Ahmed, known as “Al Zabidi” —
who was accused of operating as an arms dealer.
According to preliminary reports, Ali was of Somali origin and held a Yemeni passport.
He was alleged to have maintained links with al-Qaeda and an armed group operating in southern Yemen.
Sources further claimed he had entered Yemen using a Yemeni passport under a different name shortly before the strike.
Two days prior to the attack, Ali was reportedly accused of facilitating the transfer of advanced weaponry destined for southern Somalia.
He was also alleged to have been involved in networks said to be supported by Iran and the Houthi movement.
No additional details have been released regarding the circumstances of the strike, the party responsible, or possible collateral damage.
Authorities have not issued further official statements.
