Smoke rises following Israeli air strikes east of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip.
Israeli air strikes and artillery shelling have targeted areas east of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip,
as military operations continue across both Gaza and the occupied West Bank.
According to local reports, Israeli forces carried out intense bombardment in eastern Gaza,
while ground raids were reported in several parts of the West Bank, including Hebron,
where multiple Palestinians were treated for suffocation after Israeli forces fired tear gas during operations.
Meanwhile, the seventh group of wounded and sick individuals returned to Gaza through the Rafah crossing on Tuesday, amid ongoing humanitarian concerns in the territory.
The escalation comes as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is scheduled to meet US President Donald Trump at the White House. The meeting is expected to focus on regional security developments and the ongoing conflict.
Since October 2023, the war in Gaza has resulted in at least 72,037 deaths and 171,666 injuries, according to health authorities in Gaza. During the October 7, 2023 attacks inside Israel, approximately 1,139 people were killed, and around 250 individuals were taken captive.
The situation remains highly volatile, with continued military operations and diplomatic engagement unfolding simultaneously.
